History
Hands of Mercy started in 1997 as a church-based Christian compassion ministry. It was founded by David Gunn, a British missionary.
The work began with one street child who took David to her urban poor community in Barangay Plainview in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. This contact developed into reaching a family, which in turn opened up a whole community. Since then, Hands of Mercy has continued to extend assistance to children and their families living in poverty in Mandaluyong. We now also operate in Baguio City and La Trinidad.
