David in the Philippines with Hands of Mercy
Please continue to pray for David Gunn, the Founder of Hands of Mercy International, who has recently arrived in the Philippines for a six months visit. For those of you who know David, it will not surprise you to know that his passion for the Hands of Mercy ministry remains as strong as ever. Please pray that David will have God’s wisdom and guidance as he focuses his attention on where he can add the most value for the future of the compassion ministry of Hands of Mercy. He will work with the Director and the HOM staff to review the current work and the future direction/growth of the ministry.
After being part of the Hands of Mercy compassion ministry for many years as Founder and Director and subsequently spending the last ten years back in the UK, David is very grateful to have this opportunity to reconnect with the Hands of Mercy team as they work among the squatter communities in Mandaluyong, in Manila and Baguio, a town in the north of the country.
David has settled back quickly and has readjusted to the hustle and bustle of Manila life with its noise, congested roads, swarms of people and pollution! It’s a city which definitely touches all the senses! Metro Manila is an amalgam of different 17 cities. Those cities are grouped into an administrative region called Metro Manila, which Mandaluyong City is part of and where Hands of Mercy is located.
